“All people are born free." This is what Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights says. As Gazi Primary we organised a seminar on "Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights" at Manisa Öğretmenevi, on 14 December 2012 in order to emphasize the importance of this Declaration. We invited all the teachers and school principals of other schools in Manisa. The Deputy Provincial Director of National Education Mr Şerafettin Yel also participated in our seminar and honoured us.

We would like to thank Assistant Prof. Dr Semiha Şahin from Buca Education Faculty of Dokuz Eylül University for her lecture in this seminar. As we are one of the pilot schools of the Project on “Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education", our activities will continue.

The above mentioned seminar was covered by the local media. If you want to reach the related news please click here
